The JAINA Long Range Planning Committee (LRP), led by Dean Dr. Dipak Jain (Past distinguished Dean of Northwestern University – Kellogg School of Management & INSEAD Management School in Europe) is organizing a Jain Leadership Forum (JLF) from April 5 to 7, 2024 in Chicago, IL.
This forum aims to bring together influential leaders in the Jain community to shape the future of Jains, Jainism and Jain values in North America for the next 25 years, building on existing initiatives and creating innovative strategies for the preservation and advancement of Jainism. With an expected attendance of around 125 individuals, the Jain Leadership Forum will provide a platform for engaging discussions, networking opportunities, and cultivating essential leadership skills.
The event seeks to foster collaboration and action among participants, aiming to review and refine the vision, mission, and goals of Jainism in North America. It also aims to support the emergence of influential leaders capable of guiding their respective organizations. Estimates show that there are over 200,000 Jains in North America with an estimated collective income of $7.5 billion and a collective net worth of over $100 billion.
The theme of the forum is taking Jainism from Success to Significance. The initiative includes launching various impactful Jain Projects to support the growth and influence of Jainism, including volunteerism among Jains at Jain Centers and their local community, increasing vegetarian options at college campuses, increasing the number of Pathshala teachers, providing guidance to Jain Centers to utilize technology and financial accounting, supporting multifaith couples engaged in the Jain community, expanding Jainism education by Jain scholars and many more.
By seeking Support from individuals at different contribution levels, the forum aims to establish a flourishing Jain community in North America with transformative projects that will be recognized and appreciated through the generous contributions of supporters and form the bedrock for a thriving and impactful Jain community in North America.
The JAIN Leadership Forum is a collaboration between JAINA, JITO USA, YJA & YJP.
